Common Questions

How do I set up M-Pesa integration?
Go to Settings โ†’ M-Pesa and enter your Safaricom Daraja API credentials (Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Passkey, and Shortcode). You'll need a registered Paybill or Till number from Safaricom.
A tenant paid but it's not showing in the system
Check that your M-Pesa callback URL is set to https://api.rentsawa.com/api/v1/mpesa/callback in your Safaricom Daraja portal. Also check the Payments page for unmatched transactions and manually match if needed.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Email support@rentsawa.com with your registered phone number and the plan you want. We'll update it within 24 hours.
Can I export my data?
Yes โ€” go to Reports in your dashboard to export payment history and tenant records as CSV. For a full data export, email support.
Do tenants need to create an account?
Tenants can access the Tenant Portal using their phone number and a password set by their landlord. They can view payment history, lease details, and raise maintenance requests.
